I wish I'd written that

A great letter in the Australian today that I think bears repeating (I can't link to it as the Australian uses a dinky pop-up window for their letters that has no visible URL).

WELL, ladies, the priority is clear. If you are raped by a footballer, spit on him. At least then you will get the attention of the police and the football leagues.

We have police in two states looking for an alleged spitter. We have police in two states who let rape suspects go home before interviewing them.

The AFL bans the alleged spitter for 10 years, and the NRL club has a "truth" meeting before making statements to police. Alleged rapists get the very best of protection. Where are our priorities?

Nothing has changed. It's the same old same old; she probably deserved it.
